She has finally realized

JaneClaire had opening day for T-Ball on Friday. All the teams in our area were going to be announced and introduced onto the field in front of their parents and families. As to be expected, there were tons of kids running around. I know in big crowds like this someone is going to notice that Andrew and I are little and different looking from other adults and parents. However, I didn't think JC would notice. She hasn't noticed any other time someone has made a comment or pointed a finger. We were walking JC to her team when a little boy shouted "Look at that little Mommy!" JC without hesitation turned around and said "Yeah, and her name is CANDY. She is my Mommy!" It was so cute. I thought to myself...when did she become so grown up? I laughed because when she was talking to the little boy she was shaking that little blond head in a "I'm sassy" attitude.

Later another little boy stared as we walked by and said, "You are tiny!" JC again without skipping a beat screamed "You're tiny too!!" Still shaking that head. :) I grinned at Andrew and he grinned back at me. She finally noticed. She finally noticed that her Daddy and Mommy are different from everyone else. She didn't say anything to me about why the little boys had made their comments. I took her aside and told her that some kids have never seen a little Daddy and Mommy before and they were just curious. She is only 3 1/2 so I know she won't fully grasp the situation until she is a little older.

She looked at me and said, "I love my little Mommy."
I told her that I loved my big JaneClaire :)
